Behavioral health disorders occur when an individual’s behavior and overall emotional well-being are disturbed in some way. When adolescents or adults are facing the symptoms of a behavioral health disorder their everyday lives, as well as the lives of everyone around them, are negatively affected. If left untreated, behavioral health disorders can have detrimental long-term consequences for adolescents and adults. Untreated behavioral health disorders can lead to academic failure or job loss, deteriorated interpersonal relationships, and social isolation, among many other negative effects.
At Greenleaf Behavioral Health Hospital, we provide treatment specifically designed for adolescents and adults who are suffering from a variety of different behavioral health disorders. Through a delivery of group, individual, and family therapy as well as medication management we strive to provide each patient with the best possible care. Some of the disorders that we treat include, but are not limited to:
- Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Conduct disorder
- Intermittent explosive disorder (IED)
- Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)
